New and Emerging Technologies

Week two in new and emerging technologies was very interesting! I was very impressed to learn about new and emerging technologies. My school is so large that it is hard to get Smart Boards (interactive whiteboards) for every classroom at the same time because of the expense. I learned, after I did some research, that the Smoothboard, it the almost the same as a Smartboard and a lot cheaper!! You actually use a wii remote and a laser pen! It is pretty neat! I shared the information with my principal and I am actually going to try it out at school to see how it does! Here is the link: http://www.smoothboard.net/
Hopefully it works as it says and can be a substitute to a Smartboard while I wait for mine!!
